It saddens me to give three stars. But something has changed with these shorts. The website description is different than what I received. The material blend is not accurate, the sizing is larger than when ordered last year in prior, and the washing instructions are different.

The fabric of these shorts is sooo soft and comfortable. I opened the package, tried them on, and started wearing them immediately. Looking forward to wearing them to yoga class. The length is just right, they hit me right at the top of the knee. I plan to buy another pair!

I wanted to live in these but no.

Ok trying to find loose comfy shorts for lounging. I have 2 pairs of capris from this brand & legs are loose & very comfortable. These shorts are TIGHT FITTING IN LEGS. This totally defeats the purpose and in Florida heat, they’re twice as hot as any other short. I’d return them if I didn’t cut tags off. How can anyone be happy in shorts with tight legs?????

I initially loved the way these fit. After washing in cold water and hanging to dry the fit was a little more snug. If I could I return them and get the polyester/spandex version.

These shorts are very comfortable. I was looking for a cotton/polyester blend but couldn’t find one with the style I wanted. The thing I don’t like about these is the emblem on the side. I don’t like being a billboard for any brand. These will work for home wear.

I love the material, soft and cool. The length is ok as well. The only problem is that the elastic waist is too tight. I wish they would make the elastic waist bigger. There is a string if a person needs to tighten.

I take them out of the dryer and either fold them or hang them up. They do not wrinkle if folded neatly or hung on hanger. They are very comfortable and wears very well. They are my favorite go to shorts. You can dress them up or down. I wear them every where. They have held their color and shape. I have several colors. The waist is elastic and not bulky. The waist stretches to flatten out on your waist. My weight flexes a few pounds up and down and they are still comfortable when I wear them. These shorts are great. One of the best buys I have ever made. I didn't review them when I bought them and I felt bad about it because they are still of good quality and have remained my go to short and at the rate they are holding up, they will be for a very long time. Buy them.

I am a plus-size woman, and these shorts are very flattering on me. I love the length and very much love the fabric. For the price, these shorts are fantastic. As other reviewers have mentioned, you can wear them to the gym or, in my case, working in your flower garden. They?re also nice enough to wear into town. I love how they make me look thinner. I am apple shaped. I ordered the 3X and it fits perfectly.

Working Drawstring AND Elastic at Waist

To clear up confusion from other reviews, these shorts have BOTH a drawstring and elastic at the waist. However, the elastic controls which size to buy, and other reviewers were probably correct in recommending a Medium, if you usually wear a Small. I usually take a Small, but ordered the Medium. Although the Medium is a tad too loose at my 28.5-inch waist, the drawstring cinches it up to a Small without any bunching. I haven’t washed them yet, so that may shrink the elastic somewhat and make the drawstring superfluous.I also worried about knit shorts being too hot for a Texas summer, but these are actually cooler than my non-knit cotton shorts!The fit is very flattering (once you get the generous front pockets situated), and the length is perfect for my 5’4” height. They fall an inch or two above my knees, so that they don’t fold up when I bend my knees.All in all, great shorts for a reasonable price!

I have Champion cotton jersey shorts that are comfortable; however, they stretch out while wearing and not for wearing out of the house. I am preparing to spend 2 weeks by the lake and wanted something that I could be relaxed in, but also looks nice. I ordered Lands End, but shipping was delayed.... My Amazon search began. I'm not a size 6 and I'm 57 yrs old, so I wanted a longer short. These caught my eye and after the reviews and the description, I thought, sure. OMG, absolutely the perfect shorts. The material is soft and comfortable with enough spandex to help keep its first on appearance; so I can lounge around in comfort, or venture out, without changing clothes. The length is right at the top of my knees and the pockets are a nice size. I like the wide drawstring waistband, (yoga style). I did order a size up, from the recommendation, more because I don't like skin tight clothes. I fell in love and ordered more, (5 total); because when I find something good, I stock up in different colors and you do have a variety. The price of these shorts isn't bad and I did question about paying $23 on Amazon, but now, I can say these are worth it. So, comfort, appearance, color choice, and price equals a five star rating. Well done Baleaf, you have earned a very satisfied customer. June 2023: I had a knee replacement, so I've been living in these shorts. They're great for PT and going back to work, they still have a nice casual appearance for the office. I think I have about 9 pair now.

Great!

We had to send back the first set of shorts because they were way to big. We were on a time constraint so we had to use the 2nd pair. They have a bit of a puff where the stomach is. My 12 yo is tall and fits in ladies clothes. she has for quite sometime but she doesn't have any curves and I am thinking these are maybe for the more curvey side of use women.But that said they were only for a onetime concert at a fair. She enjoyed the rest of the fair and these shorts didn't fall down like a lot of pants/shorts do on her. She wears a back brace and these stayed up. So they get a 4 star. Because technically they fit and I'm thinking you just need a little more hip for these. Just didn't like the puff but I think that is just the cut of these.Edit 11/4:It's cold now but wanted to edit to say, that my daughter has worn these time and time again before we had to put away for the fall season. Very comfortable!
