Warm & comfortable!

I rode with these on a 20-mile mountain bike ride in Seattle, with temps in the mid to high 40s. No rain that day, shocker I know! These kept me warm, & I love the flexibility. I also look forward to using them for road cycling. The Chamois is comfortable & I think will work well for a 50+ mile ride on pavement. Warm & comfortable!

Good Down to 30s?

First fit: I'm 6'2 and around 220. The 2XL is probably the best fit for me proportionally. There are some things that aren't great but I can live with. The area between my mid thigh and waist seemed a little loose in the hips and the front crease when my leg was raised when I first put them on, but not worrisome. By the time I got back from a 37 mile ride, they seem to have stretched a little more. I did not experience any noticeable discomfort, but the material feels thin even with the fleece and does not seem to be "compression" fit like my bib shorts (Baleaf and other brands). What was noticeable immediately was that the material from my calf down to the stirrups is loose. I have runners legs in that my calves are on the thinner side and lower leg only gets more lean. The fit on my calves is acceptable, but below that is loose. As I mentioned before, the fabric on these bibs, even with the fleece lining, is what I would call thin. This area of the tights could stand to be made smaller in diameter (circumference?) and even people with overweight lower legs would find them adequate as there is plenty of stretch- the main issue with this is the flapping in the wind. For my only ride with these, I had shoe covers on which covered them enough that the flapping was not terrible.Other things of note: The stirrups seem odd (see image). The place the elastic stirrup is sewn to the leg is not only really beefy on both sides, it was noticeable when I first put them on. They hit just below my ankles and felt uncomfortable immediately. I then put my socks on underneath the stirrups and that fixed the issue. I did not notice this the entire ride. As for cold rating, I don't remember seeing anything about that specifically in the description. My experience after one ride is this- temp was high 20s with only 4-5 mph wind. While riding into this really light wind, my upper thighs were cold to the point of being uncomfortable (this was the first third or so of the ride). My knees and lower legs were fine. I find that a little strange. Once I turned with the wind, which again, wasn't much, things were okay- never what I would consider warm. As the temp rose just above 30, it was not noticeable even turning back into the wind. I'd say even with the fleece, which is quite thin (notice I repeat this a few times), these are not meant for temps in the 20s with any significant wind.As with all items in these price points (cheaper than the big brands), I'd say this bib tight is perfectly acceptable- as long as you understand that even with a fleece lining, they are only comfortable down to around 30 degrees. I would recommend this item.Update: After several rides with these tights and some washes, I'd say order your typical "American" size. Sizing chart suggested XXL for me (see my dimensions above) but an XL would be much better. The XXL are a bit too tall for my 6'2" body. Still recommend for temps just dipping into the 30's at the coolest.

Good product & value oriented

Just received two pair of Baleaf Thermo cycling bib tights, one size small, one size medium. I have 4 of Baleaf cycling thermo tights in size medium but the legs are a bit long on these. Saw comments that the bib tights were pretty stretchy so decided to try a size small on ordering these. They fit great with the length being perfect. I decided to keep the medium ones also since the legs are only slightly longer and the shoulder straps not as snug as the small. The 4 stars is because the thermo material is not as heavy as the thermo material of my regular cycling tights. Hoping that these will keep me warm enough as the regular thermo tights. Bib shorts and tights are more comfortable that regular shorts and tights because they do not bind me around the waist. 1st pic size sm. 2nd pic size med. really can't see the difference but I can feel the extra length in the med. compared to the sm. Both are keepers!

Fits decently enough, a little stitching coming loose, but FOUR YEARS and still good!

Well, as others have suggested in order to ensure they aren't "too long", I ordered a size smaller. They fit my thighs/calves and waist just fine, BUT, they are still just a tad too long, fortunately it's manageable. They are comfortable and warmer than I thought they would be, the fleece is comfy, although my legs did get cold and cramp up on the 35-40F days, wind can also be felt through them (in 15+mph winds that is) that's my fault though, no wind breakers on.The chamois is ample enough to cover all the man-bits, but my butt cheek bones :) are mostly exposed, as the butt-padding is a tad too high up the tail bone, and/or not wide enough nearer the cheek bone area. Adjusting my seat for a less aggressive posture helps with this though. It's also padded enough for my tender rear to have no other pains after a 20+mile ride, 3 days in a row! Considering I've not cycled in 12 years... yeah... my butt isn't used to it anymore... so that's saying something! :)My only real complaint... and this is a big one... the stitching is coming undone already. I only purchased 1 pair (haven't used this brand before), and have worn them for 8 rides now. The stitching that's coming undone is a seam on the right thigh area where there's an "X" seam. Everything else is holding up well, but I'm afraid that it's just a few rides/uses away from more coming undone even more. I'm going to contact the seller and find out what to do.**EDIT** The seller contacted me after writing this review and graciously offered to make things right. I was humbly surprised, but chose not to take them up on their offer. Instead, I used some fine polyester sewing thread and lightly hand-stitched the area that was coming loose, as well as the identical area on the opposite leg. (which was not coming undone, but it felt the prudent thing to do, gotta even things out). This is now the 4th winter/spring later and these are still in remarkable condition, having only hand-washed them, and alternated with 3 other identical pairs. The fleece lining IS a bit thinner than it used to be, and the chamois (butt padding) is a little tired, but so is my behind. These even stood up well when I was hit by a car & slid a good 20ft across the pavement (not asphalt) on my behind! It scuffed the area that was in contact with the concrete, but no holes, no loose stitches, and as I said... this is the 4th winter/spring I've worn them! If I can buy more, I will!

Definitely recommend if you dont care about brand

Sizing is very accurate compared to other cycling products, insulation is pretty good, went on a ride when it was 46 degrees and stayed pretty warm. The vinyl reflective pieces were not on there well to begin with. Pretty durable and holds up pretty well. The chamois is very comfortable, no chafing, very breathable. Might need to buy a second pair, looks very good.

Genius solution for nature breaks!!!

57, 150lbs, Small fits well. Chamois is adequate for 2 hours in the saddle. The design allowing for nature stop is itself worth the 55 bucks and 5 star rating!

Great bibs for cold weather

Received today right before 36mi bike ride on hills. Great bibs: very comfortable, warm and functional(pockets, pocket location). Good geometry and pad placement for my body. Decided to leave review right away.

Great well made product and very satisfied.

This is well made. The two side pockets are great for carrying some money, key and id. The padding provides good comfort with no irritation occurring after several rides. The straps are perfect fit and provide excellent holding of the bottom from sliding down. The best part is the ease access to the front for relieving oneself. I have purchased four variations of this product (3 in large and one in xl) and very satisfied with all.

Wore these in 25degrees and they were wind proof and warm enough

Im not sure what I was expecting at this price point but quality and warmth wise. This bib has exceeded my expectation. Would I pay twice as much for the same item? No, I would not however this item works well. I was comfortable on my ride and I didnt break the bank to do it.Theres nothing wrong with the shammy. It should be fine for about 30 or so miles but I do feel that is the one area where there is a little room for improvement as it wouldve been nice of course to have something stay comfortable of words of 40 miles

Awesome Bibs

I'm fairly new to the biking world. I have been seasonally outfitting my cycling gear with Baleaf. Excellent bike clothing. Biking in the fall in Iowa can get cold. I have a pair of Baleaf fleece lined tights but wanted to also try the winter biking bib tights. Just like the regular tights, these bibs keep my legs warm. The suspender straps are comfortable and keep the tights from riding down. Ankels have zippers which are nice to get tights on and off easier. The material is a nice quality weight. Keeps my legs wsrm but wicks away the sweat keeping me dry. I also really like the gray color the bibs came in. I'm 6' 175lbs and I purchased the large size. Fits perfectly. The quality and appearance of these bibs and all the Baleaf items I now have are outstanding for the money. Highly recommend.

Awesome front opening

I am 5'10", 163 lbs, 31" standover. I ordered M and they fit great. The inner fleece layer seems thin, but in combination with the weave of the shell they are quite warm. At 39 F my knees get a little chilled. The side pockets are nice for a temporary place to keep something until it goes back into my jersey pocket for the ride. The best feature is the access panel for going to the bathroom. If you are layered up there is no more need to strip down just to loose a little processed water. The panel is a really great feature. I'd like to see this on bib shorts.Update: knocked down one star. The saddle contact area has started wearing through on both pairs I have starting my second winter season. I have patched the small holes but this seems like premature wear.

I really like these, they are my first long bibs

Pros: I really like these, they are my first long bibs, and i've ridden in them twice in 2 days. So far they've kept me warm on 2 rides in the mid 40's to upper 30's with no need for a base layer under or an extra pair of short or warmers over. You can feel a slight coolness from the wind but I never felt cold. I think these would work by themselves at least down to low 30's. Fleece is soft and comfy, shammy is good enough for my 40 milers.Cons: Quality of stitching isn't super high, keep an eye for frays but for the price, they're pretty good. straps are a little itchy so put a base layer under and they are fine. My only complaint is that for a large, the legs and especailly the stirrups are a little long. I'm 5'11, 205lbs, the fit is good in the waist but the legs are little long, to the point I almost returned them for a medium (and I never wear a medium). I think I will stick with these because I think medium might start to get too small up top but I actually end up putting the stirrup over my shoe instead of on the inside to stretch them out a bit (inside the shoe they feel a little bulky since they get some bulges in them since they aren't tight under my foot). I try to pull all the leg slack up so its around my knees and that seems to work pretty well but it exposes the part of my leg just behind the tongue of my shoe so that just the sock is showing so there's some wind gap there.Other than that I do really like them an for the price would recommend them.

Tough to beat for the money

For the price these are tough to beat. I am 6' and approximately 130 lbs. I ordered a large size, and the fit is quite snug, especially in the thighs. It improves after wearing and washing a few times, to where I no longer need to dance to get into them. The leg length is spot on, as is the bib strap length. I would recommend purchasing a size larger than you may usually wear; they don't seem to be quite as petite as other Chinese manufactured products however. These are easily warm enough for my early morning commutes, with temperatures down to the mid 50F so far. The fleece lining is nice and soft, and has held up to a few washes. As the season progresses, I will update this review. The chamois is adequate, and I haven't had any trouble with it so far. No issues with chafing, sweat buildup or bunching. The padding is fairly thin but dense, and provides solid comfort. For the price of these bibs it's hard to complain. It's not top-of-the-range breathable gel space age material, but it does the job well enough. Again, I will update this review if anything changes.I don't know how I feel about the stirrups. I've found they work best/most comfortably when worn underneath socks, but that makes changes into work clothes a tad more challenging. This is my first pair of thermal tights however, so I've nothing to really compare it to other than standard bib shorts.Overall I would recommend this product. Again, it's hard to argue with the price, and they are effective at their intended purpose: keeping your lower half warm and chafe-free. We'll have to see how long they last.

Love the "Pro II 3D Chamois" Can't wear bibs without them anymore.

UPDATE 3-30-18:As of late Summer 2017 I reached 175lbs and wore these as Fall weather began. Even at 5'11" 175lbs the XL are a little tight on my thighs and calves while being comfortable or loose on the rest of me. I have 23" thighs and 32" waist for reference. I don't know how unusual my body is compared to other people. (I don't workout at all other than cycling)I can't wear other padding any more after getting used to these last Fall and this Spring. That extra padding near the nose of the saddle it so important for my sitting position on my saddle. When I wear any of my other bibs now I am uncomfortable within 10 min of starting, while in these I can go for a few hours with no discomfort. I can't believe how much difference that little area of 120kg/cubic meter padding makes. I will be buying the bib shorts that have this padding soon once the weather gets nicer. (Wisconsin weather... high of 35F this weekend... yuck)ORIGINAL:I normally go for 2XL as I am 5'11 235lbs (mostly fat, not muscle) but read multiple people's reviews saying they prefer a size down, so I tried an XL. I regret my decision. These fit exactly as I would expect from XL, which are a little too tight for me at the moment. I will keep them since I plan to keep losing weight.Aside from the size issue, they are great. Love the feel of the material and the padding seems better than most of the other cheap bibs I've tried from amazon.I also bought Baleaf's long sleeve cycling jersey to go with these and the top in XL feels like 2XL of other brands I've tried. The sleeves are a lot looser and longer than I'd expected.
