SHORTER INSEAM: The 5.1" bike shorts is designed for the needs of petite ladies or others who prefer shorter cycling shorts. A shorter inner length can make the sunburn marks on the thighs higher, making it easier for you to wear other fashionable shorts and skirts in summer.

Features:

FABRIC TYPE: 80% Nylon, 20% Spandex.

4D GEL PADDING: The Upgraded gel  is designed by professional female designer for female riders. Fully considering the female body structure, the front panel is doubled over to prevent digging in when riding, and protect the sit-bones in right place, support for at least two hours and 30 miles.

TUMMY CONTROL: Wide and high waist "V" streamlined design for less restriction and increased comfort. Super elastic fabric is firm in the abdomen area to avoid the muffin top.

UTILITY POCKETS: Two side pockets hold 5.5" mobile phone and small essentials, like airpods, key, card.

BREATHABLE & WICKING: Updated fabric for a stretchy and more breathable than traditional bike shorts.  Wick moisture away from the skin efficiently and help it evaporate rapidly.  Perfect for spin, peloton bike, road bike, etc.

Great fit, and everything stays in place.

I like the length and legs stay in place. I pulled the front waistband up a little bit before riding in a state in place. The back waistband is a little loose but doesn't go too low. There's a lot of pocket room for a good size phone. The padding is more than I would use in a triathlon but great for just cycling. I really like these. I'm 5'11" and 179lb, wearing size Large

Well-Cushioned Biking Shorts

I wore this for a four day biking trip through the Dolomites and it held up well through the trip! Were a little shorter than I expected but the padding was cushiony enough around all the right places and would recommend!

Excellent fit and padding, deep side pockets

In regular shorts I’m between a L and XL depending on the style. I sized up to an XL on these figuring they’d run a little tighter than regular shorts. These fit me perfectly - not too big or too small. I’m 5’5” and 185 for reference. I love the length on these - they are long enough to not ride up but short enough to let my legs breathe during a ride. They are also short enough that I can throw on a wrap skirt over them if we are stopping somewhere mid-ride where I’d rather not have my shorts exposed. The pockets on the side are nice and deep as well as stretchy. They easily store my phone, a towel, and anything else I need to put there. The silicone on the leg bands keep the legs from rolling up. The waist is a little lower than what I’m used to in a bike short (even other Baleaf bike shorts), but it hasn’t rolled down on me. The padding is very nice and although I’ve not washed this pair repeatedly, I’ve had luck with my other Baleaf bike shorts not decompressing after many uses. The way the padding sits in the front does give a “camel toe” look, so if you’re concerned about this you can easily throw a different pair of light shorts over these or wear a wrap skirt as I mentioned above.

Great cycling shorts

These are really nice shorts and don’t ride up when wearing. I thought not having elastic in the waistband would be an issue but the yoga band stays secure when riding and isn’t too tight. Also, the chamois padding is really comfortable for me when on my rides (usually 10+ miles at a time). Very happy about these especially for the price.

Good for recreation or spinning

These are just fine for recreation. Cycling for around an hour. For the price, I think it’s a good deal. These are not great endurance cycling shorts. After a while, the thread starts to create some hotspots if you’re writing for over an hour or so. I would not wear these on very long rides, but for recreational rides, they are nice looking and offer padding.

Reduce the pain on biking adventures

A real “butt” saver biking long distances along a rough terrain! Washed up well, fit well, great value. Recommend to all bikers!

If your a bike rider, you need to order these!

I really like these. I am an avid bike rider, but it hurt my butt when riding. When I received these, I chuckled a little because they were so padded! They just looked funny. After bike riding, there was no soreness and they were perfect. I highly recommend!

Great shorts for the price

These are quite comfy on short to medium rides. The furthest I've gone is 50 miles with minimal chafing and very little discomfort in the backside.

Short but comfy

Yes they are a little short, but I’ve worn them as shorts and they are ok. They have kept my bottom happy. I ride about 14 miles once a week.

A little too short for me

A little too short but nicely padded.

Fits petite girls well…size up

I have two other pairs of heathyoga padded shorts, but had no idea what I was missing. The padding on these baleaf shorts is just perfect in terms of placement and amount. I still feel the seat through the heathyoga shorts even though the padding looks to be similar from the outside. The length was not too short for my 5’1” frame, and the legs didn’t ride up. I am athletically built with larger thighs so I sized up to a large. I was a little worried about the waist being too low or pinchy but didn’t feel any discomfort during my indoor ride. Great value!

Women’s bike shorts are game changer

I never write reviews. These bike shorts are a game changer for women. I never thought that buying regular bike shorts (for guys) was a big deal. It is a big deal. Men’s bike shorts are not designed for women’s bodies and with these baleaf shorts I can really tell the difference in support - as in, the support is now where it should be. Wearing men’s shorts I was always shifting around on the bike seat trying to lean my weight onto the padding of the shorts. Now, the padding is exactly where it should be. I will be buying more of these and never buying men’s shorts again. Thank you!

Love the shorts. Have always been happy with the brand.

I have 6 pairs of these - mostly for the Peloton, but I also wear them on 50+ mile rides. They do not ride up on the legs. They do not fall down at the waist. Excellent bike short for the price. Reviews were deterring me from purchasing them. I have some of the capri bike pants that I like better due to a better gel pad, but these do the job.

Great cushion and feel

These are the first pair of bike shorts that I have bought. They do feel a little weird to walk in, but I do love the amount of padding in them! They are the perfect length too. I am 5'9" 155 lbs. and typically wear a M or size 29-30 in jeans and ordered a M and L. I am keeping the M. They both fit about the same, but the L were a little gappy in the stomach area. The M had a little snugger fit. I would actually keep both, but I now want a different color other than black. Oh, the rubberish material on the legs keeps the material from riding up while biking. I tried these shorts out last night on a 7 mile ride and it felt great on those butt bones, lol. I would definitely purchase more of these!

Nice bike short

Took me a while to get the ones I was looking for. Figured out the 5" inseam landed right on my thigh where I wanted it too. The first one I ordered was and XL and it was too big. The large fit perfectly. These are some of my favorite biking short. Well made and like the pocket for the cell phone.

Good cycling shorts

I really like Baleaf chamois, it works well for me, and this pair of shorts is no different. It's comfortable and gives me confidence I can be suitably protected for 40 mile rides! The styling is good and having good-size pockets is a huge plus.I bought 2 pairs of these; and love the longer ones; they are super comfortable and the length is great. Not super long but they made my legs look good. The thigh grippers worked well and there was no slippage. I highly recommend the longer length.I also purchased the shorter length to see about changing where my tan line is. They'd be great for that. The issue I have, though, is that I have fat thighs, the short inseam with the leg grips makes me bulge in a way that's not flattering! Sure, it's me and I'll get over the bulgy appearance. I'll definitely wear them, but they're not my favorites.Update: I also purchased the "Lycra 5-inch" (the ones with the flashes of color from the hip to the front). These are likely to be my favorite summer shorts; they're cut a little differently than the other 5-inch shorts and I don't feel like I have the "sausage effect" going on. The chamois is a little different than the others but still comfortable for short (up to an hour) rides. I haven't ridden longer than that yet, so can't comment how comfy they are for longer rides. These shorts have a cute look and are highly recommended by me!

Simple Cycling Shorts

This is an honest review of the Baleaf padded bike shorts for women.Pros: Shorts are comfortable and padding works as described. Basic black also goes well with most cycling jerseys.Opportunities: These shorts had some loose threads that we had to trim up so seem quality could possibly be improved. Sizing appears a little larger than other women’s cycling shorts which typically run smaller.Overall: We would still recommend trying these shorts as comfort and function works well. Just know they may run a little big and their could be a few loose threads.

Comfy, cushy, and perfect for new riders

Obsessed. I just started mountain biking and wanted something comfortable without dropping $$ on a big-name brand right away—these delivered. The padding is super cushioned without feeling bulky, and the fit is surprisingly flattering for bike shorts. They stay in place during long rides and don’t ride up or bunch. The material is breathable and dries quickly (key when you’re sweating on the trail). I’ve worn them on a few rocky routes and my tailbone thanked me.If you’re new to cycling or just want a great value pair, these totally hold their own. Will definitely be grabbing a second pair.

Great cycling shorts

This is my second Baleaf cycling shorts purchase. This particular pair seemed to be advertised as a slightly upgraded variation (with a thicker chamois & side pockets) versus the Baleaf pair I already own. I immediately used the new shorts for a 45-mile ride on a very hot/humid day, and found them to be very comparable to my high-end name-brand shorts that are similar, without the higher price tag. The material on the Baleaf shorts is slightly thinner and maybe just a bit less compressive than my name-brand shorts, but I have not found that to be an issue. The waistband is comfortable and does not sag, and the chamois feels a little more comfortable for longer distances than the chamois on my name-brand shorts. I'm not sure if that's due to the contouring or the nature of the padding itself. I often find myself using Baleaf shorts for my longer rides due to the comfort of the chamois. And the legs on these shorts do not ride up. While my name-brand shorts also have leg grips, I still have to do a leg adjustment at least once or twice during particularly hot/sweaty rides. So far, I haven't had to fiddle with these at all. They stay put during the entire ride. I also love the pockets on the side for extra storage, and they'll easily hold some additional nutrition or other essentials.I needed an extra pair of shorts in my rotation since I usually ride 4 times per week and I'm very happy I decided to purchase this new pair from Baleaf. I'm 5'1" tall, weigh around 90 pounds, and have a 27" waist and a 32" hip. The XS is a good fit for me. I wash all of my workout clothing with a detergent specifically formulated for exercise gear and I hang my cycling shorts/jerseys to dry. I have found my other Baleaf gear to be durable if cared for properly.
