Baleaf Ultra-Soft UPF 50+ Crewneck Shirt

I ordered this Baleaf short sleeve top in a large even though I usually wear a medium, and it fits loose without looking sloppy. The ruching on the sides helps keep it from hanging too long and gives it a more flattering shape, which I really appreciate. Overall, the fit is comfortable and easy to wear.The material is soft and stretchy and feels great against the skin. I’ve found Baleaf to be a reliable brand over time, and this top is very much in line with that expectation. The white color is a little plain, but that also makes it easy to pair with pretty much any leggings or shorts I own.The fabric is slightly sheer, which is typical for white athletic tops, but worn over a sports bra it’s completely fine. I’m especially happy about the UPF 50+ sun protection since I bought this specifically to wear with hiking shorts during a desert trip next month. All in all, this is a comfortable, versatile workout top that does what it promises.

I wash it on cool and let it hang dry to prevent shrinking and it has held up nicely. I’d definitely get this shirt again in more colors. The black shown in the photo is a rich, deep black.

This feels like it will be nicely moisture wicking in the summer. There wasn’t a size chart available when I ordered mine, and due to the “slim fit” description, I ordered an XXL to make sure it wasn’t tight on my shoulders and chest. I’m five feet tall and built like a midget linebacker with a large chest (my husbands words, and to be fair, it’s pretty spot on), and I now wish I had (probably) a size large to not be tight on my 36dd self. The size chart published here agrees with the shirt I received, which is both larger and longer than I prefer, but I’m sleeping in it and WOW is it soft and comfortable. The ruching on the sides gives it a slight fit-and-flare sort of shape, even mine which is huge on me. It’s a great shirt, wonderfully opaque and not clingy, and I may have to try again at full price to get the right size for me, especially since the price is very reasonable for the quality.

After battling skin cancer, I'm all for UPF protectant clothing. The shirt has comfortable 4-way stretch which is great for movement. It runs true to size. However, it is short and the thin, slinky fabric hugs/highlights all the wrong lumps if you're like myself and not super fit. I will wear it at home to work out in, yard work for the UPF, and a swimsuit coverup but not out of my house other than when we float down the river. It will come in handy on river floats to prevent sunburn on the shoulders and provide some comfort in a swimsuit. It is comfortable to wear to work out in with the stretch and wicks moisture away from the body. I do wish it was a little longer.
