Stitching Color

These are great! They are made well, fit well and have a black liner. (An older pair of navy has a white liner - I prefer the black.) The ONLY reason I gave only 4 stars is because the stitching color "fades" to a red-ish color after wearing in the pool. I have the same shorts in both black and gray, and the stitching color hasn't changed. I also have some navy blue water shoes and the stitching color on then also "faded" so I expect it has something to do with the navy color. I have no idea if this would happen if they were only worn in a lake or ocean.

Time For A Dip in the Pool With These Board Short

I want to change from wearing a one piece bathing suit to a two piece tankini. Wanting a pair of shorts to be long enough to not only cover my private areas but also my back side for my bum and my front side for my belly. From reading the product description and after trying them on, these shorts fit the bill absolutely! The nylon fabric makes me feel cool and dry while wearing them. The long pockets were more than I expected and can't wait to try them out.The only slight problem is a bit pocket of space around my private area. I usually purchase a large size and these fit just fine. It's just that small pocket of open space from my crotch to between my thighs that I noticed when I sit down. But it's a minor inconvenience to me and I probably watch that area for pilling or tears due to chafing. Now I have no excuse to skip the pool or doing yoga or lounge around the house with these shorts!

Fantastic swim shorts! Love them and the pockets!

For the VERY first time I felt comfortable wearing a swim outfit with these long swim shorts!!! They were so very comfortable and I loved the pockets, allowing me to collect a few seashells along the beach. They stayed on well while in the sea, and walking on the beach. My iPhone with a Defender case fit well in the pockets along with my IDs. (took them out while swimming of course) They fit my large legs and covered my total knee replacement scars.I wish I’d found these many years ago!! Love them! I paired them with a tankini I purchased separately on Amazon.

Liner was too big for shorts

These seem to be well made for the most part. However, the liner was way too big on me which caused it to bunch up under the shorts and create a visible panty line. Also, I’m only 5’2” so these hit below the knee-specifically I’m the knee crease so just trying them on felt like if I’d worn them for even five minutes, I would have been annoyed with the fabric restricting the bending of my knee. The pair I received did not have a drawstring like some buyers got. Just a plain waist. But again, since I’m only 5’2”, the length from the top of the waist to the crotch is too long. I probably should have ordered a large or even medium. I was going to order a medium according to the size suggestion Amazon game me but according to the size chart I should have gotten a large because of my waist. But I read reviews for people my height and weight and a bunch of them said to order a size up so I got an X-Large. That was a mistake. Also, the side pockets are placed just at the widest part of the hips which looks like I have saddlebags and I don’t like that. Wry hard to review co side ring the size confusion but my best guess would be to go with a large. 5’2” , waist 40”, 174 lbs- Amazon’s size suggestion of a medium would likely have been too tight.

Comfortable, modest. Inner liner, 2 pockets, length is just above knee. Ordered XS for 5'2", 100 lbs

I ordered these and a couple of other trial pairs of swim shorts prior to a vacation. These were the most comfortable and best fit for me. I am 5'2", 100 lbs, 50 years old and ordered the size XS.I was going on an outdoor adventure that included rappelling into water, zip-lining and water slides, so I wanted something where I could get wet, that would be modest and not 'flash the world'! These worked out GREAT! I like the fact they come to just above the knee, hiding any unsightly veins and dimpling. They were very comfortable and did not ride up or give me camel toe. They have an inner liner for your crotch and two exterior pockets for a phone/credit cards, etc. I ordered a separate tankini top to make it a complete swimsuit. I'm very happy with my purchase and would order them again.

They’re just ok. The material is thin and shiny, length hits at a weird spot and the inner liner kind of shows a panty line. I’m keeping them but they won’t be my go-to.

Sized larger

Long crotch length. I folded the waist band and pulled the leg section up, similar to panty hose so that enabled me wear them comfortably. I did not need further adjustment. They stayed in place. I liked the draw string. I purchased an XXL. I may have been able to wear an XL but I'll keep them.

Sizing

Just wanted to comment on sizing. I recently lost a lot of weight so have a 'belly' and was unsure of what size to order. I am 5'4", 160lbs and the large fits well. They seem to be well made for what they are. I haven't used them as yet so cannot speak to how they hold up in water.

Yes! These are nice swim shorts.

These are awesome swim shorts. Highly recommend. I like them because there is no inside liner that wads up. True to size. Nice quality.

Seems to fit wellI bought this for my wife, and she really likes these tights. She wears it over a bathing suit to the pool in the summer, and for gym and Pilates the rest of the year.

Good coverage but a little difficult to keep up

I bought these swim shorts to wear for a pool exercise class. The long length is excellent for both coverage and performance, however, once the shorts are wet, they're prone to slipping down from the waist. I had to keep yanking them up. They would be better if the Lycra was stronger and more snug, and the weight of the wet fabric didn't succumb to gravity so much. That being said, I like the coverage. The swim shorts hold a lot of water, but still dry in a reasonable amount of time.

The quality is not the best. The stitching is not great, looks like it can give way at anytime. I kept it because I was heading to vacay the next day. Love the length

Versatile Exercise shorts

I like these stretch black shorts a lot because the fit is perfect , you can move around easily and the UV quality is also great because I am on a Dragonboat racing team in Florida. They have pockets on the sides of the legs for glasses and car keys and nothing will come out with the tight fit! I got them the next day I ordered.

Good quality, tummy control aspect is too much

This is a very nice swim pant, I really liked the quality when I received it. The cloth, stitching, color, pockets, everything seemed great. The only downside that cost a star and forced me to send it back is that the "tummy control" aspect is too restrictive. It's technically the right size, but I'm too sensitive for it.I may give it another chance in the future because of the excellent overall quality, but I'd really prefer a set that doesn't have the "tummy control" feature.

They don’t hold up well in pools.

I love these shorts but they don’t wear well in chlorinated pools. After two or three months of almost daily use they fade badly. I rinsed them with special chlorine removal products after every use. Eventually they stretch out pretty badly too. But if you’re now wearing them for the beach they are probably great.

Perfectly comfortable!

Sorry no photos to share!I usually wear a size 14 pants and an XLarge fit me well. Not too tight, not too loose. Waist band did not roll. Fabric did not stretch or flop around when wet and my chubby thighs did not chafe when walking after getting wet. When getting out of the water, I never felt like I had to pull anything down or up. Material felt to be a perfect thickness. Thick enough to not feel cheap but not so thick you feel suffocated.I sat on some rocks and did not get any snags or other issues. These shorts hit me right where my knee wants to bend which is slightly odd but easily ignorable. I also have big knees so maybe it will sit a little lower for you.So comfortable and It was nice to not feel insecure when swimming or have to fuss with whatever I was wearing. And the capris were more flattering than board shorts which just made me look more frumpy. I am so glad they make swimming capris now!Edited to Add;I had to come back to say- as far as I could tell, my lumps and bumps were not noticeable through the capris or if they were it was minimal. Thank Sweet Jesus!

I love these, highly recommend! Order 1 size up!

I wanted fitted swimwear with more coverage than shorts or traditional swimsuit bottoms, and these turned out to be a perfect choice for that! I took the advise of other reviewers and ordered one size up from my current standard size in leggings and athletic wear (XL from L) - the fit is great and they're also very flattering. They don't compress the stomach, but the waist is flexible and high enough to avoid muffin top and/or bulging over.I was concerned the additional coverage would translate to the fabric retaining more water, and feeling water-logged and uncomfortable after a swim, but they repel water and dry rapidly as quality swim wear should! They dry faster than the baggier board shorts and swim trunks I've been using for the past few years.I've worn them several times in and out of water now (plus several trips through the washer and 2 accidental trips through the dryer on high heat setting), and they are holding up well. I'm *really* hard on my belongings in general, and so far the fabric hasn't snagged or pilled against concrete or rough surfaces. Comfortable, durable, and flattering - I'm glad I chose these!

Love these! So comfortable!

I finally got around to trying on these swim capris after a couple weeks. I love them! More comfortable even than my board shorts and the pockets hold my phone for when I am not in the water. Pairs well with my blouson style tankini tops and about as flattering a swim ensemble as I think I will get at my current weight. I thought I might have to go up to 3x since I feel swim stuff runs small in general, but ordered 2x to start and it doesn't feel too tight and will work well for me. The waist doesn't feel like it is going to roll. The material is lightweight and very stretchy. If I pull it away from my skin I can see through the material a bit, but there is no see-through when against the skin - and I am chunky enough to test that out well with stretching the material. I am ecstatic to have found these and will probably buy an extra pair to replace my shorter board shorts entirely.

Good for the Price & What I Needed

I bought these right before I took a trip where I knew the ocean was a possibility. My need was fairly sudden, and in November, so I didn't have a lot of time to go hunting around for new swim options. For the price I paid for them, and the circumstances of my buying, they're great. They're comfortable. They have pockets. My ONLY complaint, really, is that the fabric is fairly thin. It makes them light, yes, but, as someone who likes to climb over rocks on the beach, it also makes them less useful - I was always a little worried I'd snag them on a rock and tear them. Still, good or for the money.

Comfortable - but could be improved

I love the fit and the attached swim panty - very comfortable. However, I am puzzled as to why there are pockets on swim shorts! The pockets do stretch out a bit when wet, and cause drag through the water. The ideal when swimming is to minimize drag! While the pockets may be convenient for some, the material is not really the heavier type of swimsuit material, so the pocket opening stretches when wet, and does not offer a "swimsuit smooth" sleek silhouette.I was expecting there to be a wide elastic in the waistband, but the elastic is 1/2" wide and sits along the top of the waistband. Not too sure how long this will last. I would have felt much more secure with a larger elastic insert with this weight of material. The seams are strong, and do tend to pucker a bit when the shorts dry - but do stretch out again when wet. Overall, the attached panty was the biggest and only benefit of this product for me. I have yoga shorts of the same length, with thicker material and more compression -- and NO pockets!
