Stretchy, comfortable, fitted

I needed some pants for outdoor activities and these are even better than I had hoped. The tag says they are water resistant not waterproof which works fine for my needs (winter walks, shoveling snow, occasional brief backyard snow play) but maybe not for activities like sledding where there is prolonged contact with wet snow. They are obviously designed with movement in mind because they are stretchy, have zippers to accommodate boots, an adjustable waist, and the waist is higher in the back. They look nice--way nicer than regular snow pants--but wouldn't be confused for dress pants. The fit is slim and fitted not bulky. I normally wear a women's large (for 32" waist and 40" hips) so that is what I ordered and they fit great. The only improvement I would make is to have snaps rather than velcro for the waist adjustment but the rough velcro side faces in which is the most important thing.

Top Notch Winter Pants ~ The Best!

Wow! These are the warmest winter pants I ever had. In the winter months, I don't want to leave the house unless I have on two layers, which is bulky and uncomfortable. These pants are great as one pair to keep me super warm. The cold weather won't discourage me from going out with these insulated pants. And the pants have lots of features. Two roomy, zippered side pockets; one small zippered pocket on the back waist (not pictured); hook-and-loop tabs on the sides in case you need to make the waist tighter; soft fabric inside; they are super comfortable. They are form-fitting and look great. (I am 5'6" 130 lbs and I ordered a size medium.)I love the bottom sections that have two layers. I can put the pants on or take them off without removing my shoes, which is a BIG plus.At the time of this review, these pants are 79.00 and I highly recommend them. If I saw them in a store, I would not hesitate to buy them.

Great, but tall gals beware

I needed a new pair of snow pants for a winter trek to Scandinavia. I wont be doing anything crazy, so I didnt need complete waterproofing, just something that would keep the wind and snow off for the most part while Im walking around. These should do the trick fine, and I do like them overall (with some issues).Pros:-These are super comfortable! Theyre warm, soft, and not so bulky that I feel like a walking marshmallow. Theyre actually reasonably flattering once adjusted properly.-There are multiple ways to adjust them, and Ive included close up photos for reference. The waist can be adjusted to sit comfortably at your preferred placement and the legs snap open to accommodate various footwear types. Super handy.-The slightly elasticated waterproof bottom of each leg is great for making sure water or snow dont sneak under the pant leg.-Quality overall is really nice for the price, I like the material and its clear there was a lot of thought put into designing these with all the little details. The extra thickness throughout key areas like knees and lower leg is great.Cons:-Unfortunately these have one glaring issue. Length. Proper length is really important for keeping out snow and lining up properly with boots (not to mention aesthetics). Im 58, so admittedly on the taller side, but these are wayyy too short. Id say accounting for mid height boots theyd be ideal for someone no taller than 52-53. They are truly cropped on me, hitting a couple inches above my ankle, rendering a lot of the leg features semi useless/too high up, and also making them look a little funny. Ill still get to wear them, but only with a really tall pair of snow boots these can sort of sit half tucked into.Overall if youre short these pants are basically perfect. But, if youre over 53, consider other options or just know your footwear choices will be more limited.

Warm, form fitting, but slightly short

I really love the fit of these - they are totally form fitting. I ordered an XS based on the size chart and it fits accurately, so its a safe bet to go by the size chart. My one complaint on the fit is the length - these are definitely a little short. Im only 55 and they rest above my ankles so I imagine they would be shorter on someone taller. These also are not waterproof so dont get these expecting to stay dry all day if your skiing in the rain or in wet conditions. But no one likes skiing in the rain anyways. These are water resistant though. Water literally beads off of them. They are pretty thick, warm and have a thick outer water resistant layer, but the outer layer is fabric, likely treated with water resistant chemicals to make water bead off of it. But thats just my guess, I dont know what makes them water resistant for a fact.

Quality

The material feels like quality. Loved the fit, I am a petite and the length is not extra long. Love the stretch, the fleece linning and extra pocket on waste band for an ID. I can always count on baleaf!

Not really snow pants but very comfortable

Not to say that you couldn't ski in these but I would not consider these to be Softshell. Nor are they technically ski pants. They are thick one layer leggings that feel soft on the inside. More like Winter yoga pants. These will not protect from wind or from getting wet.But I do like them for running errands and casual comfy wear.

Actually super nice, warm and look great!

These are actually super nice! Very high quality. I feel like the sizing is accurate. It's so hard for me to order pants and like the fit so I was pleasantly surprised! Can't wait to wear them this winter. I think they're a great value because of the quality. They will definitely keep you warm. And they look good!

warm but not bulky active pants that look sharp

These are very smart looking active pants. They are so advanced compared to ski pants of old. These would fit right in going to the restaurant afterwards. The fit is true to size and the lower portion is double-layered, with a lining to go inside your boot and an expandable outer layer for the outside. There is also a horizontal seam right below the knee where these layers meet. The pockets have zippers so you can securely stow a few things while you are being active. These are thick and warm without being bulky. These may become a new favorite.

Very impressive

I have purchased this brand before in bike shorts so I knew what size to order. These pants were similar in sizing to the bike shorts they make. I was very impressed by these winter ski pants. They have really have included great features! As follows:A large zippered pocket on each side and a zippered pocket in the back at the waist.A velcro- attached side strap so you can tighten the waist if you want.Excellent quality stitching and material.Zipper at the waist with a snap and a strong hook above the snap to keep it secure.Inserts from the knee to the ankle with elastic on the bottom that you can put over your boots to keep snow from going up into the pants.Zippers from the hem up on both sides on the outer pant legs to make it easier to get your boots on and then zip them down. It's not winter yet to test this, but they seem like they will be very warm and also water resistant. The only thing I will mention that might be an issue for some is I am 5' tall and I got the XL and these were just the right length for me. Usually when I buy XL pants they are too long for me, so if you are tall they may be a little short, but it might not matter if you are wearing them with snow boots. If you can find a size that fits you, these are a great find!
