Women's Windproof Softshell Vest

I'm glad to see another scout volunteer getting this as their leader vest. Amazon customer JV's video review is what finally sold me on this vest, which I was looking for exclusively for this purpose.Likes:- high quality- synthetic, no fade fibers- necklineDislikes:- cinched in waist shaping- heavy- inner pocket finishing is a bit bulkyImo, this beats the one council offers by miles although I would definitely change a few things. Overall, I'm happy to find a vest as home for my scouting insignia. I feel like this vest will last quite some time, hopefully never needing replacement.Note: Color is true to listing image, NOT my pic (bad lighting).

I bought the navy color to wear as a top for my scrubs with a long sleeve compression style shirt underneath. The fit is really flattering. The armhole's are just the right size and the fabric is smooth and doesn't attract lint or hair (mine or the cats) like my fleece vests do. The collar lays flat when not zipped all the way up. The length hits slightly below the top of my hips and has a bungee cord tighteners on both sides about 1 1/2 in from the bottom to make it more fitted if you like. Two zipped side pockets are smaller, but big enough to tuck my hands in. Because of the angle I don't know if larger items would stay in very securely without being zipped. Two interior pockets are narrow but deep and my large cell phone fits nicely. I've gotten lots of complements so far!.

Great vest. Perfect for high 50s-low 60s weather by itself, but can layer over fleece jacket for extra warmth. Only complaint is that is runs large?too long and too wide. I still wear it, though!

I live in North Carolina and I do not need a warm fleece vest. I am 5'4" and I weigh 115 lbs. I ordered a medium because I want a comfortable fit over a sweater or turtle neck. The light grey color is a beautiful light silver blue and I am pleased with the color. Perfect for walking and golf.

I love this vest! It?s a great weight for travel and it has a lot of pockets for your phone, your passport, small wallet, etc.

I stumbled on this as I was looking at fishing vests before a trip -- wanted that for its pockets. This has the pockets plus good looks, and it's not thick or bulky, but it adds a sturdy layer when needed. I was in cool, damp weather for weeks, and I wore this every day and night. With a jacket or rain coat, I was warm & protected from wind. Most days I didn't need a jacket, and I relied heavily on pockets to keep myself hands-free - ready to take a photo or lend a hand. For non-travel, this will be a great layer or standalone in spring / fall.

this vest is great for layering. i like the wind resistant, durable soft shell fabric. The zippered pockets are large enough to hold my cellphone. the back of the vest drops lower a bit to give some coverage. the XXL is versatile for wearing over sweaters or a lightweight jacket. i am 5' 4" anad about 180 lbs. i wear it often when out hiking or birding. there is also an inside secret pocket that can hold my phone or eyeglasses. - i liked it so much that i now have two.

I waited forever to order this vest and finally broke down and purchased it. I was disappointed when it arrived because the vest is way too large. At 150 lbs. and 38 DD chest, it is RARE that a large would be too big for me. I accidently ordered two so tried the second one on in case of a sizing error, but that one was also oversized. The other thing I would mention is the navy color I ordered is not true navy. It has a really heavy purple undertone. I specifically need and want a true navy vest so this was also a deal breaker for me even if the sizing would have been accurate. That being said, this is a very nice quality vest and appeared to very well made. If it fit correctly and was the right color, I would have loved it.

Well made light weight vest for use in traveling etc. Sizing is accurate. Only one thing I wish it had - a few more inside pockets to hold personal items.

I?m 5?11? and the vest is long enough to hit mid-hip. Quality is good and zipper seems strong. I wore it most every day on a trip in cool weather in the low 60?s. Love this vest. I?m 5?11? 210 lbs and ordered XXL. Fits great, not too tight.

Just what I was hoping for. Comfortable, love the water resistant fabric, four pockets. Two inside and two outside. Has a slight flare at the hips, making it easy to wear. Would be great under a raincoat for extra warmth and extra coverage on a long flight. Highly recommend.

I bought this vest in anticipation of a trip to Canada in September. I ordered this one from Bayleaf because everything I have purchaed from them -- many pairs of yoga pants and bermuda shorts -- have been exactly what I had wanted. Well-made, good fit, stretchy but never baggy, non-wrinkleable, and they launder beautifully over and over. And, they're well-priced.I LOVE this vest! Very well-made, soft, light-weight but cozy, and, as usual, a great fit! I'm a real fan!

Very nice vest, that is sized right. A large fits. My usual size is 12. I purchased it for travel because of the zippered pockets and it worked well. I took away a star because the material doesn?t breathe and the vest gets hot! It makes my back sweaty. I will wear it for outside pickleball or tennis on cold days, but won?t be taking it on vacation anymore.

Amazon said a large would fit me best. I usually wear a medium. I ordered the large and it fits great, especially for 2 to 3 layers I might wear underneath, based on the temperature. The care tag said hand wash, but I put it in the washer on easy care/gentle cycle, cold water, then put it in the dryer on low heat for 10 minutes then hung to finish drying = came out perfect, no wrinkles or shrinking. It's a very high-quality product. Lightweight but not flimsy, enough pockets, very streamlined, figure-flattering. I love it and all Baleaf products (I've also ordered several styles and colors of pants and shorts).
